I bought the TVS Jive Motor Cycle 110 cc on 10.03.2010.  Attracted by the good advertisement of the company which said that this was a no problem bike in city traffic.  Lured by the advt. in TV in which so many vehicles waiting for the green signal and once green flashes only the JIVE fled fast ahead of other two- wheeler.  I made up my mind to own this bike.  I did so.

So far I have driven the vehicle for 12699 kms.  The problems which I faced are listed below:

1)  Many times I fell from the vehicle while applying both the brakes.

2)  Mileage was less than 40  kmpl.

3)  Indicator lamps fused number of times.  Now for over 6 months I have not changed any indicator lamp.

4)  The Rear brake gets loosened very often.

5)  Even during summer, starting the vehicle was a Herculean task.  Both the starters, let me down.  The kick starter,  if pressed initially, the vehicle will start suddenly.  before applying the acceleration the vehicle goes off.

At that time, any number of times you kick to start, proves futile.  Electric start button also fails to respond.  Then we have to pull the chock and press the self start. Then the vehicle starts. Some times, this also failed to help.  The only viable option is to push the vehicle on the road and simultaneously apply the gear.  Then the vehicle started.

6)  Most of the vehicles will develop vibrations only at high speeds of 60+ kmph.  But this vehicle after the last paid service, is giving heavy vibrations even at 2nd gear, 3rd gear or 4th gear as well.  At any speed, if you reduce the speed, the vibrations occur.  Once acceleration is given this goes off.

7)  If I go along with auto and want to overtake it accelerating, the auto goes fast than my vehicle.  Pick up is very poor.

8)  I bought this vehicle with the hope that since it doesn't have clutch, mileage would be better.  My assumption proved  to be false.
