I usually prefer Neeta tours and travels whenever I need to travel via AC bus, out of the city. Recently, we had planned a trip to Mahableshwar and since sleeper tickets for Neeta wasn't available at my required time, we had to opt for an alternative. So, we made bookings through Swami travels at a very high cost; approximately Rs 1, 200 per head, per person, one way. This was very expensive in the first place. Our bus was scheduled for pick up from Bandra Kherwadi Bus stop at 11 PM. But, the bus arrived at 12:15 AM, and at Kalanagar Bus Stand, instead. Fortunately, we called up the driver and confirmed the pick up point, else we would have definitely missed our bus.
The sleeper bus is like a dormitory, with two layers of accomodation in each section. We got the second last seat on the forward journey and last seat while returning, both at the top block. It was a horrible experience at both the times. First of all, the bus isn't multi-axle, so it kept bouncing throughout the journey while left my head spinning throughout the travel. The mattress was dirty, uneven, and stinky. The AC wasn't working most of the times and there were curtains, which fellow travellers kept moving. There even wasn't any blanket, which usually Neeta provides.
It was really suffocating at the top as well as unhygienic. Had I known that this was supposed to be so horrible with Swami, I would have opted the seater arrangement with Neeta. I recommend that no one should opt for Swami travels if they really want a pleasant journey. You are sure to get looted by these tourism providers.
