I own this bike and have done 15000+ Kms, I have used if for both long distance and city drive, I have driven it in Kolkata for almost 2 years, 3 months In Pune (currently)and will be moving on to Bangalore from January 2012.
My Experience:
Long Distance:
3 times; Assansol, WB to Kolkata 300+ Km (one way)
Kolkata to Jamshedpur 380+ Km (one way)
Mileage: 50+ KM/liter
Experience:
Smooth as butter ride even at 100+ Km (Top Speed Achieved: 118Km/hr), Cools down quickly and haven’t faced any problem, good comfort both for pillion rider as well as rider/ driver.
City Driving:*
Kolkata – 2 years Kms 10000 Km within city
Pune - 3 month (currently) 3000 Km within city
Mileage: **40 Km/liter before 10000 km
After 10000 Km drastically went down to below 30 Km/Liter
Experience:*
Smooth ride, quick start at signals, good handling, braking and excellent rider and pillion comfort.
Problems faced: *
No dealer network in Kolkata, so had to travel 80+ Km for servicing, but dealer was good and helpful had a rusting issue with fuel tank, which was taken care of and was replaced immediately. Except for distance, service was really good.
Pune:** Good dealer network, currently servicing it from Deccan Suzuki, Pune (1st time) problem: poor mileage.
Solution as proposed by dealer:** Engine needs some work, as there has been a carbon collection in the engine head, and clutch pate is weird out.
Cost:** 3 K
Given last Monday (12-12-2011) still in showroom, currently working just opened up engine, but parts not available with the dealer, so will check with other dealers and will get it delivered by Friday (expected), hope to see some result.
Recommendation:*
It’s a good bike, in ride quality, comfort, and handling. Buy only if your have a good dealer network available in the city.
