I bought a Chevy Aveo in the month of November 2007; this was my second car purchase experience, first being a Maruti Alto in the year 2004 Dec where I felt like a proud owner. Any way back to my experience with Sundaram,
1.On 5.11.2007 before taking the delivery of the vehicle I had called them and they said the car is ready and can be picked up any time, still they took over 3hrs to deliver and the accessories what I had purchased earlier and given was not fitted and said to come the next day…………. That was not the end the car was so dirty that it felt it belonged to the museum and definitely not a new one. The behavior of the sales staff was as if they were doing a favor to me by delivering the car. And I felt that I did a big mistake I could have gone for a Maruti or any other Brand of car.
On 17.11.2007 after my experience with the delivery, I was back in Sundaram Motors for the 1000 km check up, Here I got the car back more dirty than what I had left and added scratches in the front bumper……… when spoken to the Service Engineer he pleaded helpless ness as there was to much of work, hence the quality suffers.
On 12.04.2008 I called and requested for an service appointment for 14th and they said that slot is available only after the next 15 day, I explained to the lady on the phone about my urgency as I have to go long distance on 16th and the Five thousand KMs were over, she spoke to somebody and bluntly replied that ”If its urgent then go to the new dealer Vijai Motors”.
After all of the above experiences I felt That General Motors has no control over the quality of their dealers and this dealer is really taking the advantage. The only good thing which came out was Vijai Motors Services was far better than Sundaram Motors
