Being in Government Service for 42 years, they were our " Mai Baaps"-- atleast thats the impression they created !!
Somehow everybody in SBI especially in Pune ( Khadki Branch ) feel that they are obliging us !!
There is always a serpentaine que at the only " Single Window". Everything from Updating your Passbook to withdrawl of money is done there only. Because of its domination SBI never cares for its customers. Fortunately the have issued ATM Cards for Pensioners also. But no Cheque Book facilitry for Pension Account. As for their ATM Card--less said the better. Everytime I swipe it in any of SBI ATMs
my pension ATM says " have you inserted your Card properly ? ". It takes another 5 to 6 trials to get it alright.. In the beginning there was another problem I encountered-- " insufficient funds ! " message
inspite of the fact that I had not drawn any money for 6 months.. I collected the slips --6 of those and approached The Manager. He says he also experienced the same !! So SBI feels that if their own employees feel the pinch, mortals like us are nothing ! They would never make any effort to rectify the system.
When I visited Canara Bank in Pune ( Khadki Branch), I realised I made a mistake in opting SBI for my Pension Account.
Another irritating thing about SBI Khadki is its location. Its located in a God forsaken area, where you have to walk quite a distance and then stand in que.
With slush of Funds why cannot SBI open more ATMs like the other Banks ?
