The only reason I joined MouthShut was to be able to write about 2 things I am absolutely head over heels in: Automobiles and Books.
Since I have already scribbled a bit on cars and bike I care about, so I thought lets touch the books, my dear books.
So many books one reads and it’s hard to pick one up and say hey, I like this one the best! That wouldn’t be fare… so I thought I will write about the first book I read this week and it turned out that I got my hands on 2 novels written by Sidney Sheldon “Stars Shine Down” and “best laid plans” on Monday and “Stars Shine Down” being the first one got the pick.
“Stars Shine Down” is another story with ‘by Sidney Sheldon’ written all over it. Sidney portrayed Lara Cameron - the beautiful yet brainy princes in 1992. Lara – ‘The Famous one’ born in ‘Nova Scotia’ to Mr. Cameron, gets lucky as she survives while her poor mother and twin brother lose their battle of life and death during the birth process. Despite of the hatred of her father and bad conditions she grows up to be a very pretty and determined woman with a dream to leave her mark on this earth in the form of beautiful buildings. At 21 she is already well established in Nova Scotia and is headed to Chicago for more.
Rest of the book is about her challenges, her few affairs and how she meets her competitors. She is beautiful, intelligent, determined, demanding, passionate, caring and cold all at the same time.
She is a woman in the world of men.
Determined as she is to chase her dreams of becoming the queen of real estate, she also has a secret desire of finding a prince of her dreams, which is fulfilled in the form Philip - The handsome and famous Pianist. Against the odds they get together.
In the background of love, jealousy, mystery of a murder and a fatal assault the story moves on with the ups and downs in business… To know the rest you should read the book.
“Stars Shine Down” is worth few hours of your busy life in case you like escaping from this cold real world to the warmth of world of dreams, fairy tales, mystery and romance.
