Voice of India has been a fun-filled musical event with all the spices inherently embedded in a commercial show.The panel of judges sitting on the show comprised of big names in the music industry like Jatin Pandit, Lalit Pandit, Alka Yagnik, Abhijeet who adorned the show with thier magnificent presence.But amidst the show there were clashes among the judges which eventually led Alka Yagnik to walk out of the show.She eventually returned back in a dramatic fashion much to the amazement of the audience who were perplexed by the sequence of events prevailing on the show.
The host was our very own Shaan, who with his melliflous voice has carved a niche in the Bollywood
music industry.He added star value to the show and sparkled with a natural humour which accentuated the entertainment prospects for the audience.The singers were drawn from a large number of cities existing across the country.The pool of talent rendered extraordinary performances every now and then.The noticeable among the whole lot happened to be Harshit Saxena, Toshi,
Sumitra, Abhilasha, Sumitra and Ishmeet.Once Alka Yagnik tried to pull down one of the singers called Priyani she received lot of flak from her counterparts and a new controversy emerged regarding clash of judges on TV shows.Abhilasha and Harshit and Toshi and Abhaas received warmth and affection from Alka Yagnik.Rest of the judges also had their favourites.
The show kept on progessing much to the excitement of the audience with a host of dazzling performances by the top10 singers.The show remained in the news as it witnessed presence of celebrities like Rani Mukherji, Govinda, Preetam, Mahesh Bhatt, Pooja Bhatt, ChakDe Team,
Pankaj Udhas, Ustad Zakir Hussain, Ranbir Kappoor, Sonam Kapoor, Anil Kapoor,
Sanjay Leela Bhansali and the melody queen, Lata Mangeshkar.
Finally the tug of war was finalised between Harshit Saxena of Lucknow and Ishmeet Singh of Punjab in which Ishmeet emerged as the dark horse.I was shell shocked by the turn of events as I expected the Lucknow lad to win the contest.Nevertheless the show has unforgettable memories preserved in my heart as I was an avid viewer of the show.
