Hello All,

My name is Rohit Kadam, and I stay in Dubai. I am absolutely disgruntled, appalled, and hurt, by how I have been treated by Spicejet, even though me, and my family, are frequent flyers of the airline. I guess loyalty doesn't mean a thing to the airline. I have come to understand that Spicejet doesn't bother about passenger well-being, and their staff are very very rude, uncouth, and absolutely unsympathetic towards passenger pleas. I'm sure they have been instructed that the sole aim is to earn money, and the airline will fleece passenger under any circumstances.

I would like to get your attention to the following points:

= The absolutely callous and unsympathetic attitude of your staff towards my 70 year old mother, wife, and 6 year old son

= How my elderly mother, wife and small kid had to spend 9 hours at the Pune airport

= Spicejet monopoly on the Pune - Dubai - Pune route, for which they absolutely fleece passengers of their hard earned money. More so, during the holiday season

= I had to spend almost INR 139, 000 for the Dubai - Pune - Dubai flight tickets, after making adjustments to the itinerary

= Even though I had paid for the entire flight, when I wanted to make changes, the amount that I had already paid for that leg, wasn't refunded, and I have to pay even more, which is absolutely ridiculous!

= Even though I booked Spicemax seats for INR 3000 one way, that amount wasn't refunded as well, and even though they flew Spicejet on the Dubai - Pune leg, they were given normal seats, even though the Spicemax seats were already paid for by me, and the seats were empty during the flight

Here's what happened. In detail.

I am a frequent flyer with Spicejet, and regularly fly Spicejet to my hometown in Pune and back. I booked 3 tickets for a Pune - Dubai return flight for my family sometime in October, for the 20th of Dec 2015, returning back on the 27th of Dec 2015. All the visas and other bookings were done well in time.

Sometime in early December, due to your timing of 12:05 am departure from Dubai(which is utterly confusing by the way), I realized that they would need to depart late night on the 26th, and not on the 27th. So we decided to postpone the departure to the 29th.

And that's when the circus started.

I called in the customer care and spoke to a lady called Jyoti, and asked her for the ticket prices if we needed to postpone. Nothing was less than INR 25000(without any refund, mind you!), and that was something I had to pay OVER the amount I had already paid. There was going to be no refunds, and I would have to pay this over and above the amount of almost INR 50000 I had already paid for the tickets. I was a litle confused and upset, so I asked to be transferred to a Manager, but the lady REFUSED to transfer me, and was very rude and uncouth, and absolutely refused to transfer the call to a manager, and eventually hung up the phone without answering any queries that I had, and sticking to the'it's by policy' theory.

I had to pay INR 24000 more to postpone my ticket to the 30th, without getting a refund of any sort, and all the Spicemax seats I had booked(INR 3000 one way) were not refunded either, which is absolutely ridiculous.

On the 20th Dec 2015, while they were on the way to board the flight, due to a hotshot politician's birthday celebrations in Pune, the roads were absolutely chaotic and packed to the hilt, and after spending alsmot 2 hours on the road, they reached the airport at 7:10 pm for an 8:05 pm departure. Even though there were a good 45

minutes early, the Spicejet staff REFUSED to check my family in, stating the 1 hour prior rule. But even though there was a senior citizen, a small 6 year old child traveling, they did not show any sympathy and absolutely refused to check them in, and did not even consider the fact that the roads were completely blocked coming in to the airpot. Many people missed their flights, but the un-adjusting and unsympathetic Spicejet staff refused to comply.

They asked them to book another flight for the next day, 21st Dec 2015, at 8:05 PM asking for an additional INR 60000(!) for tickets for 3 people. Even after repeated requests and pleas asking them to let them board the flight, event though there was a good 30 mins to take-off, the Spicejet staff were absolutely unsympathetic, totally noncomplying, and refused to understand the passenger plight.

I eventually had to book another flight with another airline for a 4 am departure on the 21st Dec 2015, and shell out an additional INR 60000 for the same. Due to that, my 70 year old mother, wife, and 6 year old kid had to spend almost 9 hours at the Pune airport, before they boarded the flight at 4 am.

On the 29th, When we went into for check-in during departure from Dubai, Spicejet again refused to adjust them on the Spicemax seats, even though I had already paid INR 3000 for them, and those seats were empty during the entire flight.

This kind of behaviour was totally unexpected, and the mental torture my entire family(and me sitting in Dubai) went through, due to the attitude of the entire Spicejet staff(customer care agents, and staff at both the airports), was uncalled for. This could have been resolved by simple means, only if the Airline wasn't so much after fleecing passengers of their money, since it was festival season.

I expect Spicejet to offer me an apology, and a full refund, for the torture and mental tension they have subjected me and my family to.

Thank You,

A very disgruntled Spicejet customer,

Rohit Kadam
