I bought Sony NWZ -A844MP4 Player 2 years ago and still it is running flawlessly. I have already told you ( in my previous reviews) that I always prefer to use Sony Products although they are not cheap at all. This MP4 Player holds my eye by its marvellous design. Handy to use. Edges are slight curve. I feel good while holding it. It has a 2.5 inch screen which is much brighter ( till now) and displaying everything clearly. Other MP3 player's display that I have used looks somehow blur but I feel completely satisfied with Sony. It is running without any problem.
Videoes are being played without lagging. Video opening speed is also great. Listening music using speaker output or handsfree is just remarkable. I enjoy each and every bit of the music while listening. And it is even more better in Skulcandies headphones. Bottons of this device are too quick to change or pause music. Bottons have never deceived me. They are still showing their true colours. Overall it is a wonderful experience providing the best user friendly interface.
Battery backup is up to the mark as I am getting one day back up by charging it cent percent. But while playing videoes it may unsatisfy you to a little extent as it drains somehow faster. But I don't use it for watching videos. So getting no problem.
It is more reliable that you are thinking. Don't be in dilemma and go for it. And feel proud having a branded machine inside your pocket.
