I purchased my Xperia Mini though Indiatimes shopping. They have a lousy courier, who would record that the customer was not available, sitting just in his office! ToI is not bothered to look into it. Well, hardly within one week of taking all efforts to understand the instrument, transferring all important and immediate data, the instrument started giving trouble.
The screen would not be steady, the Menu and Previous hard buttons would activate themselves, there would be continuous random vibration, not able to open any application, not even able to swipe across and unlock the phone!
It hardly gives any comfort that Sony has developed a fix. After all, why, in the first instance, should they release such a bogus instrument?
At least, they should make all service centres to accept and give immediate fix. This is a case of automatic recall without any customer demand! But, they are taking some funny stand that the instrument would be fixed only in the country of sale. Surprisingly, the inst supplied by Indiatimes is not sold in India, as informed by local service centre. Now, I have to send it to Mumbai and be at their mercy. If it returns with the same problem, I shall be doomed.
Can't Sony give a software update through their PC Companion, eliminating the need to go to a service centre? Sony, we expected better response from you. You have failed our trust and in the process, lost your reputation. I wouldnt go near any Sony product in the future.
