Up to now I have only used the phone for listening to music and on an evening talking to my girlfriend on my ''stop the clock'' contract and as I dont find it too easy on my arm holding it to my ear for 60 mins I always use the headphones supplied, they are not bad although I cant hear anything else thats happening around....but now my other phone is coming to its contract end I have started to use this sonyw800i as my main phone but find I can hardly hear the person at the other end even in the quiet of my own home, apparently they have no trouible hearing me but I just cant hear them, if I put it on loud speaker it bounces the sound too much so that is no use either, is anyone else having this very low volume problem or just me ?.....

after having sent it back to vodaphone for a mend I would like to make a proper review now....firstly I took it to a vodaphone shop where I bought it from on ine vodaphone but the shop was only too happy to help me as I had a vodaphone contract, it was sent away on a thursady and returned to shop on the saturday and me texted that day to say it was ready for pick up......the loudness from the phone is maybe not as loud as others but sufficient unless in a very noisy place, I find it a little short to hold comfortably after I have been used to a flip phone, and does not fit the ear as well as you have to hold it half on your ear as the speakers are on the top edge of the phone and if you forget and cover the ear you cover the speakers, something to get used to...i have since bought a bluetooth earpiece and that is brilliant, the phone has some brilliant points, the camera is amazeing quality, as good as my digital one, very easy to transfer to the computer via a cable and think my daughter uses something called a ''dongle'' to transfer without a cable....the walkman is really good as can store several hours or more of music, no need to carry a walkman anymore, sometimes is tricky to get all the music downloaded but trial and error and patience needed, the radio is great except you have to use the earphones as they act as aerial, the walkman itself is loud enough to listen to and you dont have to plug the ear phones in, but even clearer if you do,texting is very easy when you get used to it, and it has other features like e-mail ect, although cant comment on them as have not used yet, useual calculator and calendar ect on it.....so apart from the awkward handling of the phone the camera, walkman, radio make it a relly fantastic phone to have.
