As with my earlier reviews, i'll get right to the point. You may refer to the other review by hk88in (i think) to get into the nitty-gritties.
This is by far the best sounding phone I have ever used. The dual one-inch speakers make sure the sounds are loud and clear. I have used many phones of diff. brands over the years but nothing comes closer. The earlier brands that claimed to make best sounding phones were just bullshitting as only few pop songs sounded good. I could never put my rock songs as ringtones as they always sounded like indecipherable noise n even I couldn't recognise the songs. NOT WITH THIS BABY!!! each n every drum beat n guitar chord is crystal clear, even at full volume.
The memory is adequate as not everyone buys 1gb mmc cards for phones and in reality it is difficult to fill the 256 mb provided as the phone has a builtin software that compresses files so as to double the space that can be used (kinda like winzip or winrar for windows).
The phone looks too cool for words and is easy to use. Nokia users will ahve a problem initially but will soon findout its way easier n non cluttered that most nokia phones. I can vouch for this coz I successfully migrated from nokia, never to look back again.
The phone is a 'java only' phone like all SE's (except the pXXX series), i.e it doesnot use the symbian software that nokia uses. This right here takes away all the slowing down of menus n crashes. But on the flip side it also means that your options of additional softwares is limited, which I think is not so bad as everything you ever need comes pre-installed in SE.
The cam is a standard 1.3 mega pixel, but what the hell, if I wanted a digicam I would have bought one. here I must say that the camera has very accurate colour saturation n contrast levels even on pc.
Now, the screw-ups:
At first the spinner headset is cool but after a few day its a pain to use the phone as one has to rotate the headset to get to the keypads. I might as well add that the phone is rather bulky n heavy.
The biggest drwback is that this phone too is plagued by same problem as all SE phones, right from my T610 days through K700i to this phone I have felt this. ........ BACKGROUND NOISE !!!!. it is impossible for other people to hear u. whenever I called my friends on any SE phone they always complained that there ws too much noise around and the couldn't hear me. I thought this was a network problem but my girlfriend who is using SE also, on another network has the same complaints. nwen we talk to each other , neither of us has any clue what is going on as we can hear everything from bystanders to fans n even autos. The worst is when travelling in train, don't wanna even get into it.
if u can live with the background noise n being asked by ppl to repeat what u are saying, it isn't a bad buy for Rs. 10,500 with bill n warranty.
