A newly opened Franchise of Snap Fitness, it is located on a good location, on a busy main road, Ashoka Pillar Road, in Jayanagar, ( Landmarks:- near Manipal Hospital and Croma, Reliance Digital, Iplanet, Ezone, Cafe Coffee Day etc.).
At the outset, it has a very good single floor(one hall of around 2000 square feet) with all machines in one place. It does not have Steam or Sauna facility.
The staff would be keen and interested in helping you till your admission/membership is secured. The current monthly fee quoted as rack fee is 3570(per month), the annual fee is around 12016/- as early bird offer, and 26th January offer was 9999/- per annum for those who were lucky to avail it.
The biometric entry system has not commenced yet, so if the staff knows your face, you are in. Membership cards are not issued yet. No update on whether membership at one Snap can be used in another Snap freely or not. Please enquire.
11'o' clock sharp they close, as they do not have Police-Permission beyond that, as communicated. Though the Logo of Snap says 24-7, this one is not 24-7, It is 18-6, and 14-1, yes that means Sundays it is available for you only till 7 p.m, and all days it starts at 5.00 a.m. or 5.30 a.m., haven't verified exactly yet, you can find out by enquiring.
Equipments:- There are around 10 to 12 machines, and 6 Treadmills, 2 Cross Trainers, and 2 Lateral Cross Trainers, apart from various sets of Dumbells. There are 2 Large Exercise Balls and 2 Small Balls. There are around 10 Mats on the floor for exercising free-hand, a few Bamboo poles, and Skipping Ropes. The mats are cleaned by a maid periodically and manually.
There is 1 trainer on the floor, and 1 Personal Trainer available if you subscribe/pay for the same.
There are normally 10 to 20 persons working out, on an average, apart from non-peak hours where it could be less than 10 persons.
You have to have a pair of shoes separately reserved for the gymn, and keep your outside-shoes out of the floor. There are non-lockable shelves to keep your stuff on the floor itself, and 2 washrooms/restroom. Each washroom/restroom has 3 to 4 changing partitions with a closable door, and 2 Wash-Basins, and 1 Hand-Dryer.
This Gym is covered by CCTV, and viewed by the franchise owner intermittently.
Drinking Water is available on the floor.
2 Television Screens are put up on 2 opposite walls, mostly playing sports channel, engaged with by the trainers or assistants.
For those who love music, good speakers here, but you might have to request for Snap Fitness workout-specific-music to be played than any random numbers.
This Franchise is owned by one Mr. Gupta, and is around 3 months old.
Snap Fitness offers Franchise options to those who can invest 1 to 1.5 crore rupees(approx 10 to 15 Million rupees), which alongwith other costs could reach upto 2 Crores.(20 Million rupees)
This Franchise has scope for much amelioration, if it can have dynamic executives, floor-assistants, and more ongoing and active participation with the members.
Jayanagar is a posh area, and a lot of educated people live around this prime location of this city, and so the services may have to be efficaciously adapted or refined according to the target audience it serves.
