OK this is my 2nd time when I am reviewing a movie and I m quite angry on this.
Slumdog Millionaire reveals the slums of Mumbai and this things that people of the slum have to face daily. Firstly the main hero Jamal Malik's (Character name) story is quite weird I think. He gets a chance to participate in the show Who wants to be Millionaire which in the film is hosted by Anil Kapoor.
Jamal wins that show but Anil Kapoor charges him of cheating and he is sent to Police custody. In his interrogation he reveals he was not good in stuides (as most slum children are) and still gave the answers. All the questions asked to him in the show are kind of relational to the incidents that happen in his life (duh a very weird thing).
The main thing which I hate about this is that film shows the poverty of India which is very bad its not that India only has poverty it also has development so why no focus on that? why only bad things focused ? The main conecpt that a slum boy goes and becomes a millionaire can be vary rare the chance is around 1 from 1000000 or even less. Isn't it like a dream (Hollywood always acuses bollywood of showing dreams in the film not reality so what have they got here huh.)
The music has been good as always from Rahman.
Anyway as an Indian I would hate to see a movie which focuses on bad things about India rather than good ones. If you still wanna watch it after all the bad India then go ahead. I only watched b'coz my frnd insisted.
