The moment I became addicted to the Food of Sindhudurg .... I started watching Discovery Channel more and more ...
I tuned to National Geographic Channel 24*7 !
My affection towards Animal Planet grew by leaps and bounds !
The reason for glue to the Idiot Box was obvious, the Discovery Channel, NatGeo and Animal Planet show handsome amount of sea culture...
Its not the bikini babes that I ogle at, Its not the whispering palms swinging at the backdrop of the beach that I admire in these programs ...
I love to go down deep to the root of any object ...
The prawns, the crabs, the numerous amount of fish entice me to watch these channels ...

This place serving sea- food in Malwani style is like riding a cruiser bike for me !
Thunderbird: This supra offering from Bullet is quite a sensation. Unlike, the traditional bullet, the gear pedal and brake have changed positions. But, the Bullet lovers love riding Bullet inspite of these changed positions.
My affection with Sindhudurg is just like that. How ? Let me explain ...
Sindhudurg is divided into two sections i.e. Air-Conditioned and Non-Air-Conditioned. The thump that Bullet gives to the riders absolutely same that is given to me by Sindhudurg irrespective of the place where I sit. The divine taste, the superb spice and that basic touch of Malwan style cooking are omnipresent everywhere.
One special thing about this place is that its pure coastal taste and cuisine. There are quite a few Malwan style Restaurants that have mushroomed in the Mumbai for last few years. And sadly only a few of them have maintained the malwan style,others are craps promoted by the Shettys selling the same Butter chicken, chicken tikka and prawns koliwada.
Coming back to Thunderbird funda, left or right, upar ya niche, its patrons love the way it is !
Eliminator:This offering from Bajaj was also awaited keenly belonging to the fact that it is from Bajaj and if it from Bajaj, it is Reliable.
I can safely compare Eliminator's reliability (I.e. Bajaj's) with that of Sindhudurg. Taste any variety of fish, prawn, chicken or mutton, I'm sure of their reliability. Never ever remembered during my so many visits to Sindhudurg having served some stale piece of flesh.
The Gavthi chicken : This the type of the desi chicken, not of the broiler type of chic, not grown in scientific environment. But Desi kombdi at Sindhudurg is never ever bad. Let me confess, I never tasted the broiler type here. The Desi rocks !
Enticer: The poorman's cruiser. Kam dam par cruiser ka look aur maja !
Sindhudurg is absolutely enticer. The rates are absolutely fine and dont burn ur pocket.
And what y get is wonderful variety of sea-food, chicken.

Menu : It obviously does not boasts a long menu card and contain a limited number of dishes. A few variety are offered.
They have a good offering in fish like rawas, bangda, pomphret, etc. The gavthi chicken with bhakri is worth trying. One can also take liking for the wadas made up of mix flours.
Ambience: Shut up and concentrate of food. You wont be disappointed.
Service: They know how to keep us HAPPY !
Location : On the road leading to Wagle Estate from Mulund Check-naka. Opposite Aplabs Office !
And yes, dont forget to order a large glass of Sol-Kadhi which a coastal apetiser drink made up of kokum. Its delicious !
