I switched to Sify after Hathway's local distributer in Delhi failed to provide support and calls made to Hathway support didnt do any good as they asked us to get in touch with the local distributor.Once I made the switch and had some issues did I come to know that the people in their customer care are utter useless.
I have different issues in all the different times I called them. Once I called , a guy answered and hung up in between as I was explaining the problem. Then once I called again , a lady with a stron South Indian accent answered. But the problem was she was neither able to speak or understand English (and herself spoke broken english) nor was she able to speak Hindi.
After I told her about my problem where I had paid for a next account recharge online and though it was showing once I logged into the account but I was not able to use it, she asked me to hold 3-4 times and at the end hung up .
Even previously when I had flown out of the country I had provided their number to my parents for emergancy issues in the net connectivity. Once the internet was down, my folks gave them a call , got a complaint number from there and a promise that someone would work on it that very day, only no body showed up not the same day .. not the same week and they didnt wait to find out for the same month. They paid a technician to check all the lines and eventually got it done.
The worst is that you won't have anywhere to escalate if you are dissatisfied.For all who plan to switch to sify. Be warned its the worst support ever and if you have an issue , you better get your own tissue
I dont even know how they are surviving in the market.
