This is the second time Rediff has done this to me. The last time, they had sent my order through Quantium couriers, with whom I had to constantly follow up by phone (they put me through to various people on different numbers) as to whether my package would be delivered or not, after which they finally traced and delivered my package. I had placed an order for a red bracelet (Order ID 7726076) on Rediff.com.


The order had been approved and was supposed to be have been delivered within 7 working days, but more than 4 working days have gone by and no update has been made in the status of the order. I called them up and they said that due to a 2 day public holiday hiatus, they forgot about delivering my product completely. Then, why do they not forget to take the money also from us customers?


It was supposed to have been shipped through Blue Dart (a courier that is extremely reliable) and the consignment number given to me is 46311141133. I kept checking the Blue Dart site everyday, but nothing turned up and the numbers would not be recognized at all by the system.


Then, why assign me a consignment number, if they have not dispatched the product yet? Nothing has been delivered to me so far and no news has come. So, I got in touch with the original vendor of the product, who said that no such order has come to them bearing my name. I then asked Rediff to give me a refund. They have neither dispatched the product nor sent me the refund.

Whenever I try to call them to ask them about the status of the refund (though it has been more than 4-5 working days from when they mailed me last time, they always put me on hold for long on their toll free number and then cut the call in between).


I had paid Rs. 505 for both the item and the shipping by my mother's credit card, but Rediff is not as prompt as we customers are, who make the payment in advance and end up losing the money entirely. Money does not grow on trees. So, how can Rediff just keep playing with it? I will never recommend buying from Rediff.com to anyone. They used to be a reliable store earlier. Now, they have just turned into untrustworthy and dishonest people from whom you cannot expect anything even if you pay them well in advance. So, a well-established brand name suddenly starts misbehaving with its regular customers and we just sit here hoping that either our product would come or at least our refund would and neither turns up, leaving us customers feeling duped.
