DADA OF ANDHRA. Review on Shankar Dada Mbbs Movie

Its a remake of the hindi blockbuster MUNNABHAI MBBS.

If you have seen the hindi movie, then take a break of about two months and then come back to see this telugu movie SHANKAR DADA MBBS. No comparison should be made. The telugu version is for the MASS. The story line is the same but changes have been made to suit the telugu audience and to suit the hero Chiranjeevi.

Chiranjeevi the mega star is a star in this movie, I say this because the whole story just revolves around him which is how it has to be. His other recent film Anji bombed at the box office because it did not revolve around him. This movie will be a box office success because he is the STAR in the movie. All the masala is available here, songs, fights etc...to magnify him as the mega star.

The telugu field seems to lack of talent that they had to import talent from Bollywood. Sonali Bendre seems to have put on weight but is a treat to watch. Paresh Rawal as the Dean of the medical college is at his best, no flaw there. He just takes over in his scenes. Srikant as ATM has done a good job, but in some scenes he seem to better Chiranjeevi subtly. The rest of the cast have done good job.

The songs are nothing to rave about but have a good beat which makes everyone dance. The technicals of the movie are not very good, but because it is a Chiranjeevis film nobody seems to notice it. He has carried the film on his shoulders oops on his dancing feet. But he looks old and close up shots could have been avoided. His make up is pathetic as usual. Producers seem always to overlook this when they seem to have spent crores of money on his movies. Same as in Indra. They should learn this art from their counterparts in Bollywood.
