Pathetic Service at Sanjay Hyundai

This is my first review on Mouthshut and I am going to make it a long one. (sorry for that !!!) I am going to list a day by day experience I had. After doing a due diligence, test drives and shortlisting cars matching my requirements I had finalized on going for Hyundai Getz. The sales person at dealer Kothari Hyundai played a important part in my decision as he took efforts in explaining the features and coaxing me.The only hitch in going ahead was the color availability with the dealer.It was not expected for next 2 weeks. So I found the contact info of the other dealer Sanjay Hyundai and decided to try my luck there. The most stupid thing I did in my life!!! Sunday 20 August I entered the showroom on a Sunday at 1.00 pm.


Things were fine but there was no enthusiasm from teh sales person at the showroom. When you have a walk in customer ready to place an order any dealer would got to any lengths and match the expectations and get the order finalized immediately. The guys at Sanjay hyundai were very slow and it required the use of my bargaining skills to get the order finalized. I was promised Teflon Coating, Seat covers worth 4000 and Installation of music system (from my old car) After I signed the order I was told that all the finance formalities and car exchange formalities would start on Monday morning and I would be updated on all. Since it was a Sunday and ll the systems are shut off(!!!) I was given a Handwritten receipt on letter head of Sanjay Hyundai Service.


After querying I was told that I would get a receipt on Monday. Monday 21 August Now here is where the sad part starts, I feel Hyundai should start working in Post Sales at the dealers ASAP. I did not get any call for the receipt nor any update on the exchange formalities. I called twice and was told that receipt would be sent to me by Fax by Monday evening. No fax nor any call came on Monday. Tuesday 22 August I waited for a call/fax but none came so I hollered at the 2 sales people and they hurriedly sent a fax. Please note I was sent the same receipt with handwritten Hyundai Getz G6. Thats it. In any court this receipt would not stand for a new car booking receipt. I asked and fired them so the sales people coolly used to disconnect my calls or used to give some stupid answers. In the afternoon I get a call from Sanjay Hyundai that you had placed any Inquiry for the car and when are you finalizing the deal ? I was shocked and I told him that the deal had finalized.


This guy just says ok and disconnects the phone. I call up the Sales people again and they just tell me it might be some mistake don't worry. As regards the foreclosure facilities for my old car I call them up about collecting the foreclosure letter which I was told will be collected today night or tomorrow morning Wednesday 23 August I receive a call from Sanjay Hyundai again saying that the colour which I have booked is not available so why don't you take some other color. I ask whats the point in telling this now ? th payment is already made. I started getting panickyon the booking status and call the sales people who say good news the car is available !!! I just shout at them and have lost all my patience in dealing with them. This guys are morons. No one calls regarding the foreclosure formalities.


Thursday 24 August I call them to find out about the loan approval process they say they have no update whereas I called up the bank yesterday and had news about the loan already approved. I also ask them about the foreclosure and the fitments but this guys just don't have any answers. I go to the showroom and shout at the top of the voice but even no effect on them. Sales team leader just comes and tells me not to shout. Friday 25th August. My delivery is scheduled at 6.30. My wife takes the car and goes to them at 2.30 (my old car music system has to be fitted in this). They just tell her to wait the guy will start working on the car for almost 2 hours. She is made to sit there without even telling her how much time it is going to take. Finally at 5.30 we are told that passing will take time and tyres need to be fitted so you will get delivery only after 7.00. All the 4 hours we are not told about how much time whats happening .


Nothing. I finally get the car at 8.00 pm. I thought my ordeal is over but the cars fuels tank is emoty so I need to find out the nearest petrol pump. Generally you get 5 litres of petrol with the car but this guys say we fill it at the godown and then deliver the car but the petrol finishes since the godown is far away !!!!! The dealer said he will do Teflon coating am not sure whether thats done on my car. As regards seat covers I am promised Rs4000 worth of seat covers but fitted ones are not even worth 1000 bucks. Since the foreclosure was not done on time I had to pay interest @Rs37 everyday. I am planning to send this mail to all newspapers, car forums and wherever possible. In all Sanjay Hyundai robbed me and my family's excitement of buying a new car. The Sales people were Sandeep and Vijaya


PART 2 of the torture (17/10/06)


When I booked this car I was told that I would be getting the exchange Bonus of 10000 within 45 days of giving the old RC of the car.


Now almost 2 months after I submitted the RC I am being told that you will get the cheque only after the car is sold which was never communicated earlier. A new trick from their sleeve.


One point I would like to metion here is Hyundai is least concerned with the way dealers treat the customers.Pathetic service by Hyndai too.


HATs off to Sanjay Hyundai who torture the customer to the maximum.
