I decided to buy Getz, last december and I approached both the dealers, Sanjay Hyundai and Kothari Hyundai. Since Kothari didnt have the color I wanted, in stock, I approached Sanjay Hyundai. And there the suffering started.
I just read the Sanjay Hyundai's review here was a little skeptical for approaching them. But since there is no other option available in pune I had to go to them.
The salesman at Sanjay Hyundai were too much helpful and they wasted around 2 hours of my time to finalize the deal. Inspite of my telling that I know how much discount is being offered right now by Kothari guys, I had to fight a lot to get the same deal from Sanjay.
Sanjay Hyundai promised me some accessories and final price of the vehicle.( I bought Getz GVS - grey Color). I was told that they will be giving me the Teflon coating for free and the same costs 4800(?) Rupees. I went to some other accessories shop in city and found that it takes not more than 1800 Rs . I again called them up. The sales person apologized me and committed that its available outside at very cheap price. And promised me to give Tubeless tyres. I specifically told that I dont want the "Good year " tyres and they should give me either michelin( 155 mm only) which falls into the same price range( 3000)
3 Weeks passed by, after completing the loan related formalities I requested them to register the vehicle the very next day, promising I will submit the remaining balance payment by cash the very next day before 11 o clock.
I took a half day leave and went to their office and paid the dues in cash and asked about the rgistration. the sales person said the vehicle will only be registered on Monday! I was shocked. In this case, there was no need for me to avail the leave and make the payment hastily. When I enquired why did not she tell me this before? She had no answer.
during this visit, I visited their accessoties dept person and instructed him about the tubeless tyres fitment. He agreed and also promised me that he will be fitting either Michelin or Bridgestone. I was relieved a bit. Aaah
Anyway, she promised me to give the delivery of the vehicle on Monday evening, but I will have to come again getting the number plate on tuesday. I said ok.
On monday morning, I called her up and reminded that the vehicle is going for registration and I will be coming to take the delivery evening. She confirmed this. I again sent an SMS by 5.30 pm saying I am comoing to pick the vehicle.( since the cell phone was busy) I went there to have delivery of the vehicle. And to my surprize, She said she can not deliver it today! When I asked the reason, I was told the tyres still needs to be replaced( tubeless) . I fought a lot. And asked to meet the manager there. But nobody came forward. All the staff was telling me lies when I asked for the manage's number. I wasted couple of hours like that and went home.
Next day morning, I was called by same sales person. This time I had a different surprise. She told me she can not give the tubeless tyres make that I was promised. Since it didnt fit into their costing.
When I asked why is she teling me all this after the vehicle is registered? Why didnt she tell me during last 3 weeks. She had no answer. She was pretty arrogant this time since I didnt have any option since my vehicle is already registered.:( I went to showroom for taking delivery. But before that I wanted to see her senior( I saw him sitting on the first floor) . but I was told he can not meet since he is busy with meeting! when I tried calling his cell number. He cut the calls and switched off the phone! Poor me!
Finally I got my car though with not all promised accessories. but thank god, it atleast had the basic things that came from hyundai:)
I would strongly recomment to avoid Sanjay Hyundai.
