My family bought this television in Feb 2005 i.e more than 3 years have passed since we have been using it. In this duration,it has caused absolutely no problems & has been working quite well. The T.V I am referring to(Samsung Plano) does not exactly resemble the one we see in this picture. It has an extended Megabass speaker placed above the screen. It is a 21 inch,DNieJr feature, flat screen television.
One unique feature in this T.V is the PIP(Picture-in-Picture).This is useful since you can watch 2 programs at the same time. So, if you are watching 2 programs or shows co-inciding at the same time on 2 different channels & a commercial break occurs in one of them, you can have a look at both the programs without needing to swap channels.
Another good thing about this product is the excellent sound & picture quality. This is enhanced especially when you use a DTH or satellite service such as 'Tata Sky'.The sound & picture quality can be adjusted in different modes. The different features in the sound mode include Standard,Movie,Music,Speech & Custom & that of the picture mode include Dynamic,Standard,Movie & Custom. The 'Custom mode enables to increase/decrease the brigthness, sharpness & contrast.
Referring to the extended Megabass speakers, it is an Integrated Woofer Speaker System which gives the effect of a mini home theatre or music system. However, this is not suitable for small or enclosed rooms. In case of a small room, the increase in volume could cause a resonating or vibrating effect, causing distortion of sound. It is ideally suitable for large/medium-sized rooms or even a big hall.
The television can also be connected to the video as well as camcorder(Video Camera)
Other important features include tuning & sorting different channels, setting the equalizer for adjusting the sound quality, zoom, lanuage, timer, child lock, blue screen, melody & many more.
One major disadvantage is the size of this T.V, which makes it difficult to move or adjust at a particular angle. On the whole, this T.V can be considered as a complete package in itself.
