I have had two Samsung galaxy note 2s. I am in awe of this gadget just for the same reason I like bullet motorcycles.they give you the freedom to play around with the designs. I have turned my note 2 to a note 4. Since it is outside the warranty, I flashed the Rom of the handset and tried various Roms before settling for the ditto note 4 Rom.
Needless to say, my note 2 is just like a note 4 now. There is a good news for those who don't want to tinker with the firmware of their note 2 though. There is not much practical appreciation. You could as well choose a good installer and get similar results.
If you want it to have faster reaction to your touches, and some very practical swipe functionalities, I would recommend going for the mihi launcher. It is not available in the play market. You ought to download it from the miui from internet( you may Google for it) .
For those who have seen xiaomi phones, they know what I am talking about. Others, just imagine your Android turning into half iPhone. One swipe down from anywhere in the screen, and you will get the notification bar. One swipe up, and you will get the t9 search where you can open applications. The screen is very brisk.
