I have purchased this cool phone just 10 days ago. earlier I was using nokia 5130 (temporarily) and N72.
The things not understood by the nokia people is well understood by samsung. New gen needs a cool funky phone with 2 sim ( active), good camera, FM(with recording feature), nice touchscreen platform etc. are unimaginable with nokia phones. However, frnkly, nokia phones are better user frndly including their PC suit prog. But, this is becoz, it is more spread brand since initial stage, particularly in india. but, things r changing now. Samsung is capturing youth with corby, and, now 5722.
Abt the phone, IT IS a 2 sim ACTIVE phone. and, obviously, u do have option to "deactivate" one sim, if u wish. But, I keep both the sim active. Both sim captures good network coverage. Also, there is nice mic and speaker quality. recording of video is available in mp4. audio recording is in mp3. Widget options are really cool.
But, every good things have some drawbacks. My frnds, only 500 SMS can be stored. though u can take back up to PC/Memory card. but, does any one wanna do this ? Lots of 3rd party appln available in S60/S40 in nokia, where, here this option is almost closed. U have very little memory for installing these appl, and, importantly, where are these applns ?
Since I was aware of these drawbacks, I m happy with the 5722 performance. I have come to know that, samsung are launching 7722, with 5MP, wifi, 3G, but, it will be costing around 20K.
For me, at 8K, it s a good deal.
