Got relly bored yesterday sop started watching this movie named "Samay - When Time strikes". I am pretty sure many of the readers mite not even have heard this movie's name, thx to an inefficient publicity campaign.
I was kinda told that its a gud movie, sop I thot mite as well have a watch.and I am happy to declare I did. Very gud acting skills were portrayed by actors Sushmita Sen and Sushant Singh. This is a movie about how one's ambition can becum his life , his soul , so much so that it makes you altogether a different person. If great expectations are not fulfilled they lead to a catastrophic turn in one's life.
Story starts with the investigation of a murder of the leading Industrialist Mr. Kapil. In a peculiar way his hands are positioned both upwards. Sushmita Sen aka Malvika Chauhan single mother of one "Mithu" and ACP, is investigating the case with sub inspector Satya aka Sushant Singh. Before they cud find a clue regarding the case, another serial killing takes place this time of a leading actor( female) Ms. Ritika, in which again strangely enuff her hands are positioned one upwards and one sideways. Standing as and where they were after the murder of Kapil, Clueless, another murder happens this time of a no. 1 Contract killer, again this positioning of the hands is peculiar, one upwards and the second hand down.
Thankfully Malvika notices the pattern of the time of the killings which match exactly with the positioning of the hands, i.e 12:00, 3:00, and 6:00. which means the next killing will be at 9:00, and wud go on following the pattern if not stopped. This was one relly attractive concept I found in the film which makes the title and the plot of the movie very appealing, becoz they are interrelated and connected.One More thing is the way the first murder is committed; which although was not a new concept coz previously it was seen in the mute Movie 'Pushpak'.
Next best thing is the climax - totally unexpected and out of the blue, cums out someone who explains why he did what he did.(I won't narrate coz this kills the interest to watch for sum).Dialogues are good and very nicely and clearly delivered by actors with a pack of expressions and emotions that fit the scene and situation.
Music is also not bad, although not many songs are in this movie(thkfully). Except 'Laila Laila' played by a czechoslovakian girl who also played the character of Ms. Ritika; and 'Zindagi, yeh Pal'.
