Hi there dude and dudettes, am back again .

As you can expect, its on the movie thats doing the rounds these days and doing quite well at that!!!

Anyways I read quite a lot of reviews here and most of them have only good things to say about this movie. There are a lot of reviews that have covered the story too. So lets hear the story in brief

The Story

The story is about two individuals who are both trying to lead their lives in Australia. Nikhil Arora Alias Nick (Saif Ali Khan) is a successful chef in a hotel and dreams of owning a restaurant. Amber (Preity Zinta) is studying to be a doctor and is earning for her fees as a Radio Jockey. Of course if its a romantic movie the hero and the heroine ultimately fall in love. Their path of love is rocky at start when Amber kind of tarnishes Nicks image when he is late for his appointment in her programme about

successful Indians in Australia. This goes on for some time till they meet each not realising who the other person is and kind of get attracted. Then the usual stuff about the Hero proposing his love and the Heroine strutting about thinking she is some queen. But whats diff here is Saif actually Preity asks for a ''trial'' live-in relation which could decide their course in Love and she accepts. Then the usual hanky panky stuff and Preity finds herself Pregnant and refuses to abort the child to a Shocked and flustered Saif. I like the scene where she gets the spirit of motherhood. It was nicely taken. Saif refuses to have anything to do with the baby and Preity refusing to move out shifts to a different room. what else to say everything is sorted out in the end (Its a romantic movie isn't it?) and they live a happy life everafter.

My points

  1. I must say Saif is getting a bit stereo typed with this kind of bubbly roles starting from Dil Chahta Hai, Kal Ho Na Ho, Hum Tum to now this movie.

  2. There was no need for all those encounters between saif and preity after she gets pregnant. I think thats over doing it and I dont think any sane pregnant lady would dance and scream her lungs out

  3. The characters must have really enjoyed themselves during the making of the movie. They have a natural appeal in their face which is excellent

  4. The movie overall is watchable and most important keeps you smiling throughout till the last.

  5. The hospital scene was a bit too much to digest. In their quest for comedy they kind of took the appeal from the movie which had a good flow. The guest appearance surprised me but I wont say who it is for the benefit of people who haven't seen it (if u r desperate read the other reviews ;-) )

  6. I liked Javed Jafferey and his loony english. It was awesome with all those puns...''Wife working while husbands jerking'', ''Goods Morning'' etc. It was fresh unlike the usual comedy cliches that is seen.

  7. Arshad Warsi is an amazing actor. Both Arshad and Javed He provided the right zeal and spicy flavour to the movie

  8. Now to put a damp blanket on the whole thing is this last bit of info. The concept of Salaam Namste has been taken from 9 months directed by Chris Columbus Starring Hugh Grant and Julianne Moore. It was released in 1995 . The last scene of SN was also very similar to 9 months and in their quest to make it like 9 months they spoilt it. There was nothing original in the film with regard to the plot.

Anyways, Saif and Preity are looking really good in the movie and personally I wouldn't mind another go at the movie. After all who wants the cry baby stuff when u can laugh out loud here. Repeating the title again mt Salaam to saif and Namaste to Preity
