I wish I had read the reviews earlier. I had booked the service for shifting my things from Bangalore to Pondicherry. Since I was not in Bangalore, I had asked them give the quotation to my friend after looking at my things in the flat.
I was told that the amount was 13, 000 INR from my friend. I also confirmed the total amount from Sahara (080-4145915) as 13K (one lady spoke to me over the phone). I had confirmed this twice before rejecting other agents.
2 people came to do the loading. They did good packing. One of the persons told that one among them will be coming to Pondy to do the assembling. He also had taken few screws with him in a red colour purse.
Later after everything was done, I was told that the total amount as around 17K. When I contacted the Sahrara person, Bhaskar (+919379961333). He was very arrogant and he said that the lady who confirmed the price is not in office and would be coming on Monday. (This happened on friday - night). Also he demanded the whole amount on the spot (Normally I pay the amount after the shifting is done - I have shifted three times earlier within Bangalore). Since I didn't have any other option I had to go to the ATM at around 11 PM to get the money as I had left the money with my father in Pondy. This is not over...
We had to do the unloading ourselves. The person who had told that he would come to Pondy for re-assembling the things didn't come. There was no response from Bhasker or the person from customer service (080-41145915). sometime they just cut my call or keep me call on hold or just don't answer. Later when my father refused to sign the delivery slip, Bhaskar told that he would send someone the next day. None has come the next day. We are trying to reach the customer service through different number +919341231571.
This is one of the frustrating experiences I had from Sahara. Please do not choose this agent. It is not worth spending so much money. It is better to choose some other agent.
