When my father got a mild heart attack, his doctor advised him to start using Saffola oil to bring down the level of bad cholesterol in his body or else he would have more heart attacks. In India, we use oil in almost everything and we have this propensity to get diabetes, heart problems so we must be more mindful of using good oils such as Saffola. I use this to make food exclusively for my dad while the rest of our family uses sunflower oil or virgin oil alternatively since my hubby is allergic to saffola.
Saffola has safflower and corn oil with antioxidants, omega 3 fatty acids and poly unsaturated fatty acids which are all good for bringing down the level of bad cholesterol. I use just about 3 teaspoon of oil for cooking anything whether it be vegetables or fish for my dad and he has never had any trouble since he started eating food cooked in this oil, it has been almost 2 years now.
