Oats was recommended to be by my fitness trainer as it is healthy and contains less calories. I have tried this product on few occasions when there was nothing else to eat and junk was the only option.

Well Saffola masala oats as they are rightly called may taste really good but the actual effect of oats which are used to lower the calories in body is not there.

I have tried these oats on few occasions and can be eaten to curb hunger specially if you you want to eat something hot and spicy. But if you intend to eat it with the thought of lowering your calorie count, you better avoid it.

Well one thing you can surely do is take these oats and mix them with veggies in little oil, add the spices and cook it in water. Avoid using its masala as it has lot of preservatives which is not good. I have also tried quaker oats but this one is surely better in taste than quaker brand.

Good things:

  1. Curbs hunger

  2. Filling

  3. Cost effective

  4. Tasty

  5. Easy to make

Bad things:

  1. High in calorie content

  2. Quantity is not sufficeint for its price.

  3. Does have taste enhancers otherwise it will never taste good.

You can opt for this product if you are really hungry and have no other option to eat or want to avoid roadside food. But if you are health conscious and wish to eat oats, I would suggest buy their normal plain oats and cook a reicipi out of it. Best would be to make oats upma. I make it very frequently. Atleast you won't end up eating so many carbs.

Would not recommend this product as a breakfast or snacks meal.
