Safar - A Journey - Asha Bhosle - Through 50's & 60's ....

Sigh .... Sniff .... It all began one day , my spouse asked me if I loved him :0( and to pass the test of love I sang out 'Aaiye Meherbaan ' and found myself smiling like madhubala ( ahh.. not exactly ;0) ) ....and instantly went shake - a - leg with 'Eeena Meena deeka ' dai dama deeka .. Rum Pum Posh and after I came in hosh .. yup you guessed it .. it was my turn and I questioned 'Zameen se humein Aasman par bethakar gira to na donge '?? After a positive answer , now my heart always sings aloud when I'm about to see him ' Koi aaya dhadkan kehti hai '

But love is not always sweet .. and men sure aren't ;0) .. so when he's upset and rude I often talk to lonesome self and ask my best friend ' Ae gham - e - dil kya karoon'? .. No answer .. so helplessly I go' Tang aa chuke hai ' and as the day passes by mera 'Dil sham se dooba jaata hai ' What next ? I try all my tricks to talk to him but all in vain ..whoaaaaa :0( .... dil karta hai 'Sabse yeh kehdoo ' ke woh 'Baithe hai rahe guzar par'

Will he call ? will we make up ? I pretend I dont care but ' Phir bhi dil hai beqarar' even though I have to say alot of things ' Meri baat rahi mere mann mein ! kuch keh na saki uljhan mein' .. phew .. still not talking ..I sing out for the last time ' Jahan mein aisa kaun hai' he smiles and replies ' Aankhon se utri dil mein' I go Haule haule chalo more sajna ! Itna gussa thikh nahi ;0) !!!!

After all the love - hate talks he asks if I missed him and I respond in the most filmi manner ' Jaaiye aap kaha jayenge ' he winks and teases me ' Raat akeli hai' looking at him this way I run away coz anything is possible ' Aage bhi jaane na tu 'I walk up to him .. go close and wish him goodnight .. sweetdreams ..' Tere khayalon mein hum '

And as we face another beautiful day he reveals a dream in which he sees me dancing on ' Jhoomka gira re ' :0(

Please dont tell anyone !'Parde mein rehne do'

Friends love makes one do stupid things .. so do we !

He'll call at times and sing ' Bheegi bheegi fiza hai ' and I'll talk to the birds 'O Panchchi pyaare sanjh sakare' another evening and to meet ' Hum intezaar karenge'.... We meet we fight we make up .. phir milta hai ' Woh haseen dard ' .. but thas the way love goes !!! and there goes our everyday routine .. aww.. hes upset again so till the time u read this off I go .. this time singing ' O mere sona re ' .....

A Star Gold presentation this album is just the collection for soft and soothing music .... Amidst todays dhoom dhadaka music lets spend a few moments with the all time music legends O.P nayyar , S.D Burman and ofcourse the melodious voices of Asha Bhosle and Rafi !!!! The album consists of two cassettes comprimising of two volumes @ Rs.100 !
