Me and my mother recently traveled to Europe for 15 days by the group tour(TE2) conducted by Sachin Travels. Our experience with Sachin was the worst ever in all the Domestic as well as International travelling we have done till today.
The tour itenary shown to us and the actual itenary generated by Sachin’s London Office is completely different. Based on the original tour itenary, we decided to go with Sachin and accordingly made the payment. In reality however, the actual tour itenary informed to us by our tour manager excluded many things. The iteneries were completely shuffled.
Hotels promised to us were 3 star plus hotels. However, we were accommodated in 1 star or 2 star category hotels. The promised 2 night stay in Paris was cut down to a 1 night stay of hardly 4 hours. The 1st night in France, we were accommodated in a third grade motel on the highway, 200 km from Paris. Since, it was a 2 storey hotel, there were no lifts, due to which, we had to carry our baggage by climbing the steps. There were many senior citizens in our group. Can you imagine their plight, with nobody to help them carry their baggage? Secondly, when we pay for a three star plus hotel and Sachin Travels actually arrange for a 1 star or 2 star hotel, it is we who suffer a great loss in terms of money and comfort.
We used to travel for almost 7 to 8 hours everyday to the specified destination. However, the actual time given for sightseeing at that particular place was never more than 1 hour. So, of course, there was no question of shopping time or actual shopping. We requested our Tour Manager a number of times to give us shopping time. But our request went on deaf ears.
Distance of all the hotels was minimum 60 km away from the main city. So the traveling time to travel from the sightseeing to the hotels used to be minimum 2 hours. This also became a major reason for cutting down on our sightseeing and shopping time.
We were promised Topmost Level of Eiffel Tower in Paris, whose ticket is 14 Euros per head. In reality, we were taken on second level only, whose ticket is 8 Euros. We paid for 14 Euros, and Sachin Travels got the profit of extra 5 Euros per head. Is this the way to extort money from People, who save for maybe more than a year to travel to Europe?
Last but not the least, the tour manager on our tour was somebody who took more care of the coach captain than the people who had paid almost 2 lacs per head. He was the rudest person, who never answered any of our queries nor considered any of our requests. Today I wonder, whether we all paid such a big amount of money to Sachin Travels to actually see Europe or to let this tour manager treat us like animals.
I haven’t experienced any other tours conducted by Sachin so I will not comment on that. But, I will sincerely recommend all you people out there, NOT, to consider Sachin Travels for any Europe Tour. It will be just a waste of your money and you will end up a frustrated lot by the time you come back to India.
