Every one thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.
When I Stopped writing I thought I will never be able to return to Mouthshut. But thanks to Ms Aarti Kapoor I am back on MS.
The reasons I am back on the site are
1. Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar
- Meeting with Aarti Kapoor and an assurance of reactivating my friend Imran’s account. I hope Ms. Kapoor keeps her promise made to me. Let’s see.
So, this review is on reason no.1 Sachin Tendulkar. Well the name Sachin Tendulkar doesn’t need any introduction at least to fanatic Indians fans. But for some of my International friends who may not be so familiar with this, let me tell them one thing about this Mumbaites. Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar is a sportsman (cricketer) and he is to cricket what Muhammad Ali is to Boxing.
From where do I start, ok the best will be to start from the childhood age when Sachin started playing for some school in Mumbai and in no time the cricket pundits started predicting greatness for this 15 yrs old boy then. And how true they were as the years went by the curly hair boy grew into a brilliant adult and then into a genius cricketer. With all adulation and hard work came the benefits of a king. The luxury of life started to make way in his life. With fame came a lot of BIG companies and contracts worth millions dollars. Here we had a batsman who according to Sir Donald Bradman reminded him of his playing style was breaking centuries old cricketing records. In midst of all this we never notice the status of our team performance over the years. Though the contracts and money started to take new height the victories against the best kept eluding us.The Indian team kept on loosing matches after matches (world cup an exception, and your guess is as good as mine) but Mr. Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar mass hysteria kept on rising leap and bound. Can anyone explain me the reason of our team pathetic performance? Take the example of the TVS final at Eden Gardens. Chasing a modest score of less than 260 runs at home grounds, our team found even that too much. And the way Sachin started to bat I felt some amateur has been thrown into arena against a second bowling Australian attack. If Mr. Tendulkar cannot guarantee us a win against such attacks I guess his scoring tons of run is of no use. It will only fill his bank balance and as always we will have to cherish our victories against the minnows of cricket. Its HIGH time Mr. Tendulkar starts winning matches on his own; some thing like Steve and Ricky has been doing so consistently over the last 10 years. Thank to some great mind we have Saurav leading our team and not a mediocre Sachin
Second issues that really disturb me and made me wonder why all this years I was cheering for Sachin.
Ferrari Issue.
The car from Fiat worth crores of rupees given to a millionaire and, the millionaire begging for Rs 1.13 crore duty exemptions. In a country where people revere him as a GOD and where the basic necessity of life is a luxury for many, a person who is worth more than 200 crores is begging to for an exemption of duty of 1.13 crore. How mean and selfish you can get Sachin? Don’t you feel for the underprivileged people? The same people who have given you love and fame over the years. The money could have been utilized for the development of such people. Oh! But why should you be thinking about all these things. God has given you everything and you don’t have to worry about all this. Sachin your attitude sucks and you may have excelled in cricket but I am sorry to say that you have failed big time in proving yourself to be a good human being in spite of everything that have achieved.
What I have read lately in some newspaper is this moron has even asked for the homologation waiver of Rs 15 lakh. Homologation is the process of certifying that a particular car is roadworthy. This clearance is given by the Pune-based Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI). If you are so poor Mr. Tendulkar why don’t you sit outside a cricket ground and beg for money so that you can pay the amount. Who knows someday even he will do that also, to accumulate money in his bank account.
Summary
For me a summary of Tendulkar career so far can be described in just 2 lines. The run scoring machine, without winning matches for India. A self-centered money accumulating individual. His run scoring ability may have inspired lot of youngster to take cricket as their career but imagine if they all start to ask favor and exemption of taxes and duty in the future. I think this entire tax / duty department will have to close down.
I hope there are many people who agree with me on this, and will give me some positive comments.
