I am working with sabre for more than a year now, I am very happy to be here, why?
Better Salary: Compared to other MNC in india, Sabre definetly pays well
Innovative work: You are not bound to use some xyz process or abc approach to solve problems, they allow you to follow what they have been doing or let you com-up and create a better one so that thye can follow.
Open to new technologies: Well you know the Technology, they are ready to give you a platform & test your solution, if at all things do not work( does not happen much in my team. it Works!). nobody, I must say nobody comes and blames you for it!
Peace at work: Like any other product development company Sabre is 1000% better than any IT Services company, they understand that they have employed "humans" after all, I do not remember one day at work so far when I felt "God why everything has to be done today?" or I slept just 4 hrs because I had to report for some meeting or demo or training or a pending issue .or just for as-licking, . believe me in many places thats the only way around, damn it!
Type of Work you do: Yes it is challenging @ sabre when it comes to technology, here even an L2 or an associate is expected to recommend solution for Problems or even an architectural changes( not like so called no 1 IT companies where you can only propose a solution if you X+ year of experience . in short NO Bureaucratic stuff). Being said that I know of some projects where the work is so mundane that some people think about leaving job everyday( just recycle some service or atmost copy file here n' there:)), but my friend where not we come across this situation, infact I have faced this too! but than why would I wirte such a feedback ? Answer lies in the next point.
Learning: We always want to learn something new, and at sabre it is no different, here you can divide most of the workers in two groups . uncle types( one who just come to office everyday because after 30 days they will be paid handsome salary. no question asked). there is another set of people who would want to learn something new everyday. For ppl who find their work mundane they get exceptional resources & time at work to improve their skills( yes at-least 1 hour a day dedicated for studying if they deal with it smartly & rRajeev_Vermact it) access to books 24/7, company paid free internet.no blocking of sites like youtube if you are going through learning material and NOT movies or songs:D. If You are the latter types, and you have an offer in hand .Man don't give wait just join!
note: By reading so many good words about my employer from me Do not be surprised. they are really that good . if you know something about "great places to work india " thing checkout this: https://greatplacetowork.in/best/list-in-2009.htm( they were ranked 21st in 2009. but yea they really did not get any after that:))
Employee strenght: I think between 600- 800, they only have 1 office in India, Bangalore
Cons: Only thing that I see is promotion(takes really long time to get one say 3-4 yrs a minimum), but I do not care much .
To Summarize I would say -Last one year has been most challenging, sandwiched with lots of Learning and Rewarding compared to the other 5 years for me:)
