I am holding SBI card from past 2yrs, all these years I have not have any problem as I am not a regular user of this card. When I used for a huge purchase(April’10), right after that they have blocked the card, when I called them they say it’s for the security reasons. Right from that date till last week it is in the blocked state. I have called them many times to enable the card as I have done excess payment and I wanted to use that excess paid amount. Every time they say 7-14 working days(where as with other private banks the turnover time is with in 5 working days) to activate the cards.
I had called them at least 10 times, each time I have to wait in the in call queue for 10 – 15mins, every time it says in few seconds it will transfer the call to the next agent after spending that stipulated seconds it will start adds and after 15 min customer agent will talk to you. Each time when I call I have to do this exercise they always keep in call waiting. And they ask us to wait for 10 working days min for any kind of problem.
Finally after using the excess payment I have made up my mind to get rid of this card as this card carries annual payment. My other cards which are platinum, and titanium are not having any annual chargers and the services is hassle free.
My suggestion keep away from SBI cards………………….
