We wrote a lengthy letter to prove that SBI card has to pay us Rs. 344.94 and not the other way round:


Respected Sir/Madam:


This is with reference to the review of the above-mentioned disputed transaction on your SBI Credit Card No 0004377XXXXXXXX2838.


My communication to you was to make it clear that there was an incomplete transaction on BookMyShow.com(Rs. 344.94 - transaction no. CXGH-W8BJ9W3) and the ticket was not generated and so, I asked you for a refund. I had to book a ticket once again for the same movie "English Vinglish" in a different movie hall(Transaction CXGH-W8BJ9W3) and this time, a valid charge was made of Rs. 233.70 to my credit card [See inline snapshot below].

You have credited an amount of Rs. 384.94(below inline attachment) for a duplicate transaction on 10/11/2012, which is a completely different duplicate transaction altogether [if I have referred to it in any of my previous mails] and for which the credit has already been made by you. The other two transactions of Rs. 344.94 [BIGH0001049788 and BIGH0001049800] are also not the ones I am referring to.

So, based on the above information and snapshots, you are requested to kindly refer with BookMyShow.com and recredit the amount of Rs. 344.94 debited in excess to my account due to some technical error on part of the BookMyShow.com website, for which you have not afforded the due re-credit(Rs. 344.94) [Against transaction no. CXGH-W8BJ9W3 on BookMyShow.com] so far and are demanding the same from me.

Despite this letter, they have not reversed the charges to us.


Today, they have made a big blunder. Despite our making out a cheque of Rs. 11894.50 to them(against our last month's credit card bill) and it reflecting in my mother's credit card account, they have made 3 debits of the same amount that show under "Transaction under settlement" and these are not even authorized(see the picture attached to the review). We have put many requests to them to correct the problem and even tried to make calls to them, but their number always goes to the IVR first. Secondly, they have some SMS service, where we are expected to send our problems and then they would revert to us after 2-3 days. We can't wait that long. So, we have emailed them about how they have made wrongful debits. None of our problems have been solved. We also booked air tickets to come home to Mumbai after a vacation with their credit card, but they say that the merchant has not confirmed anything and that they might cancel our transaction, if the merchant does not confirm the transaction within 21 days. We are extremely worried, since this was also confirmed on the telephone by them.

This is with reference to your communication dated  Jan 31, 2013.


Transaction Details:


We would like to inform you that as per our records, the transaction dated 31/01/2013 for Rs.8306, has not yet been confirmed by the concerned merchant.


Further, we would like to share with you that the transactions gets cancelled automatically, in case the same is not confirmed within 21 days from the date of debit.


SBI Credit Cards are the worst. We would never recommend them to anyone, since they give extremely poor quality service to even their regular Platinum Card holders. They can't even maintain their website properly. It is reflecting all the transactions wrongly and the final amount we owe to them should not be above 49, 000 or so, but it is reflecting as 60, 000+(including the three wrongful debit transactions that reflect in the account). We are terribly upset at the way they are functioning. The bank is just fleecing us, though we are being honest with them.
