This morning, I received an SMS from my Credit Card provider(CITIBANK)
that a payment has been received for my CITIBANK credit card on 24/10/2007.
My billing cycle being different and certain that I have no pending dues on my
CITIBANK card , I enquired and found that SBI Cards have sent Citibank Cards
a "Balance Transfer" cheque for my card.
This, when I already have communicated to AVP(Customer Service)-SBI Cards
that I have no intention of continuing to patronise SBI Cards due to indifferent &
faulty services.
Certain that the BT Cheque from SBI was NEVER RECEIVED by me, it is clear
that there is a major flaw somewhere in SBI Cards' system.
What happens if I now refuse to pay back the amount that is already credited to
my CITIBANK card account?
Am I the only recepient of SBI Cards' misplaced largesse(kindness or whatever!)?
How much is the TOTAL AMOUNT that SBI Cards is thus placing at RISK?
Could it be another SUB-PRIME RISK waiting to happen?
This time in our very own India?
