Value for Money- Worth buying Classic 350. Review on Royal Enfield Classic 350

I started riding bike from 1998 from my school age. Almost 13 yrs past. I have used and changed Suzuki Samurai, Hero puck, Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 180. Now I was looking for change and different riding style.

After reading n number of reviews, pros and cons. I thought of going for Classic 350. I took a test drive and ride was awesome, satisfied riding which other bike cannot give.

Actually one year back I changed my job and new job location is 35Km from my house, so daily I will be traveling 70Km in pulsar 180. As it was stress full and slightly back pain started. This is also one reason to go for CL 350.

Finally I booked CL 350 maroon color on 9-March-2013 in Rajajinagar HSR showroom. They told min 1 yr is the waiting period. I was mentally prepared to wait for 1 yr. But Fortunately they called me on Sep 10 2013 and said your best is ready for delivery. I was happy and also confused to take it now or to take in next load. But I would not wait, Finally arranged the cash, paid and bought the beast to home on 13 Sep 2013.

To drive this heavy vehicle in run-in period is very difficult. First 100 Km I drived bull in 30 Km speed. First day a bicycle guy overtaken me with smile. Even I smiled towards him with no other option. Since I was travelling 70 Km daily. Beast completed 500 Km in 8 days. Bull was ready for first service. In this run in period I was driving bull within 50 Km. Hence I was able to 48 Km mileage. I gave it for first service in RE showroom which is after crossing KR puram railway station bridge towards EMC square and marathahalli. The bill was 918 Rs for oil change and fuel filter change.

After first service bull became still smooth. And riding was awesome. Till I reach 1000 KM I did not cross 70 KM. After 1500 Km I tried crossing 90 Km. After that I started riding normally as my Pulsar. Now I get mileage of 44. Probably if I go within 60 or 70 I may get 48. But I am okey with 44, even my pulsar 180 use to deliver same 44 mileage to me.

Today I completed 3000 Km and beast is ready for second service.

I have put leg guard which I purchased from shivajinagar and I paid 750 Rs for it. In showroom they charge 2K for the same.

Pros:

1. Look and feel is good

   
   




2. Since there is shock absorb at bottom of front seat, that gives extra comfort for rider. There is no back pain in this vehicle. You feel like riding.

   
   




3. Center of attraction. Wherever you r on this bull or you park your bull it stand out of the crowd.

   
   




4. On road it grabs the attention.

   
   




5. Easily it reaches 80-90 speed.

   
   




6. Riding comfort is good, no back pain.

   
   

Cons:

1. Paint quality is not good. If something slightly hit or bang also paint will peel. Most of the people complain the same. Actually the reason is in other bikes most of the part are made for fiber, hence if their is hit also a scratch will appear. But the bull is fully made of iron hence for small hit or bang paint peel out. Hence I have bought nail polish of my bull color. whenever there is peel I will apply this and patch it up.

   
   




2. Rusting is one of major problem. I have rust proof spray. I apply this to avoid from rust.

   
   




3. Mirror vibrates. But no one can help because RE family bikes vibrates due to heavy power generated inside engine.

   
   

Whatever may be the cons I love my bull and suggest others also to go for CL 350.
