I have been using a Royal Enfield classic 350 for more than a year now and I am more than happy. The classic 350 is my first motorcycle and it has taught me a lot. The motorcycle is classic by all means. It has no flashy gadgets or sensors like modern bikes. It has a fairly powerful engine, brakes, speedometer and an odometer. It does not even have a fuel indicator. But that is all I needed. he weight of the vehicle contributes a lot to the stability but hinders the top speed. The classic vibrates uncomfortably as it approaches three digit speeds. The main reason why I bought the vehicle is that it has a perfect combination of power, style and mileage for a first time motorcycle rider like me. My classic 350 gives me more than 40 kilometers to a liter.
The riding seat is very comfortable as it has an independent spring system below it. The pillion seat is not so comfortable for long rides as it is a bit narrow than needed. As the bike has no sophisticated electronics or gadgets, it is very reliable and can be maintained easily without much effort. The stock handle vibrates at lower speeds which can be frustrating for most riders.
After a year of riding my classic 350, I have not had major problems. But during highway cruising I tend to need more power and top speed.
