Chetan begins the novel with a very interesting note i.e the prologue. He is being summoned by a young guy who is wanting his story to be heard.
The story could have gone many ways, from a crime thriller to inspirational moral telling fables to a good love story with a good twist, but no Mr. bhagat wants it to get strangled on a triangular love story. Something which bollywood has been doing since it's inception.
Yet the author finds his niche and strikes well with the story and it's intended or appreciating audience. Yeah the teens who are very likely to be first time book readers. The story builds up quite interestingly but again the characters get ricked in the abyss of love.
The ending was quite good I must say, so was the experience, but it seemed a bit depressing from the point of view of the protagonist. The author could have done some justice with Gopal. But again, a story is a story.
