Theme: Remix is a soap based on the lives of high school students in a posh Residential School.

Characters: The story is woven around 4 main characters Tia Ahuja, Ranveer Sisodia, Anvesha Ray and Yuvaraj Dev. The rest of the cast support the storyline centered around these main characters.

Story: The story is set in a posh residential school Maurya High, headed by Prinicipal Ashish Jambwal. Ashish is portrayed in different shades, as a hen-pecked husband, a doting father, a cunning businessman, and at times, also as a clown.

Prof. Raghav Dutt is the second-in-command at Maurya High. Raghav is portrayed as a sensitive person who has the best interests of the students, and is also in touch with the problems of students. Not surprisingly, Raghav's contemporary ideals always clash with the Prinicpal's conventional school of thought.

Coming to the main characters, Tia Ahuja is the baby-doll, prima donna in Maurya. She comes from a very affluent background, and is a typical cosmopolitan teenager. She is extremely conscious about appearance, and is a sucker for fashionable brands and fashion in general. She is mostly portrayed as a bimbo, but also has a sensitive side to her. As expected, she is the cynosure of all male eyes in school. The girl playing Tia is cute, although her acting is nowhere close to believable. And her favourite line ''Puh-lease'' can be rather irritating.

Ranveer Sisodia is the boy that Tia is eventually supposed to fall in love with, although the current episodes depict otherwise. He has joined Maurya on scholarship, and his primary intention in joining the school is to get to Tia's dad Sumeet Ahuja, who Ranvir believes, has wronged his family. Ranveer is a very level-headed kid, and is always willing to help his friends out of trouble. In short, he is the noble samaritan with a dark past. The guy playing Ranveer's role looks like a potential star in the making.

Next comes Anvesha Ray, the crazy punk chic daughter of Bollywood superstar Sonia Ray. Anvesha looks weird, talks like Big Moose (from Archie comics) with ''D-uh'' being her favourite retort to most questions. However, Anvesha or Ashi as she is called, is a real rock chic. She is tough, and has a rebellious streak in her (highlighted by her red/purple mop of hair). When it comes to saving the day, Ashi is always the first. The girl playing Ashi could do with a makeover, and a visit to the orthodontist.

Yuvaraj Dev, or Yuvi is the self-proclaimed dude in the school. Yuvi is a musician, and has rock star looks with his unkempt, long hair. His dad is a prominent politician, and has the uncanny ability to pop up in school everytime Yuvi has some wicked plan to execute. It's fun to decide which one is more annoying, Yuvi or his dad. Yuvi's got his gang of losers in Nakul and Sid. Nakul is the wannabe dude who ends up sounding funny due to his weird accent, and his ignorance. Sid is a character that you wont miss if he didnt exist.

Yuvi and Ashi are also going in the same direction as Tia and Ranveer. The attraction is there for all to see, and is only a matter of time.

The 4 protagonists come together to form a band called ''Remix'' and hence the name of the serial.

There are several other characters like Varun, MP, Priyanka, Mehar, Aman , Vrinda etc who all add spice to this daily soap with their bits and pieces.

Verdict: Remix is easy on the eyes, and easier on the brain. It doesnt claim to be a thinking man's high school drama. It is stupid, and funny, and entertaining at different times. If you miss an episode, you havent missed anything. If you missed an entire week, you still havent missed anything. But if you manage to catch it someday on TV, it might put a smile on your face, without straining your brain too much.
