When I travelled abroad with family in September, Rep from Religare gave all rosy picture.I took a policy.Now see, they did not post a hard copy even.2.They were NOT attending phone line the moment they received my premium in their account.Very rudely, they said " We dont give print outs, Do it yourself"
3.The worst was yet to come, I had to cut short my trip due to health issue.I was to be compensated under Clause 11.BUT THEY FLATLY REFUSED MY CLAIM, EVEN THOUGH I CURTAILED MY TRIP TO SEEK MEDICAL AID IN INDIA.IN FACT I SAVED THEIR AND MY MONEY BY COMING TO INDIA TO TAKE TREATMENT.
But they were not convinced.After filling a 17page form in hard copy, they took 15 days to reject my claim on filmsy grounds.Benefit 11 is permissible even when you curtail journey due to medical requirements or non availability of medical facilities abroad.But they gave no valid reasons for rejecting my genuine claim.
THEY SAY IT IS NECESSARY TO DIE OR GET ADMITTED FOR 48 HOURS IN EMERGENCY WHILE ABROAD TO CLAIM EVEN ONE DOLLAR.This is contrary to what is provided in the rules.Company takes clients for a ride, all the time, specially senior citizens.
So my freiends, DONT ever insure with Religare.Cheats of highest order.
