Horrible service by reliance. Review on Reliance USB modem

This is one of the horrible service I have ever experienced. Its been only one month I have taken this connection. I have faced two disconnection from this service.

The representatives come from the webworld and give us the connection at home and they gave me a number to call them if I face any problems. They were very polite. I took the connection because I could surf with my laptop wherever I go. But on the 10th day I was not able to surf. I called the customer care and told them I have given them the passport copy and they said I need to go to the web world once again to confirm my address. I was in Banglore and they want me to go to Kerala to get the connection resumed.

I went to the webworld in Kerala, Trivandrum in Kesavadaspuram.  I gave my passport copy and they said within 24hrs they will resume the service. I waited for two days still not able to connect. I called up the nodal officers they are not picking up the phone. I had sent 5 messages to customer care centres and no reply. I called up the customer care and they still say they cannot confirm the address. These people in customer care have no rights to resume the service. Its the service head in Kerala that control the resumption of the service.

Atlast a hope.....I went to the reliance webpage. Read on the biography of the company rules and I found Anil Ambani's email. I had sent one email to him. Within two days he forwarded the message to a customer care in Reliance and they called me up from Mumbai and said we had resumed the service. They resumed the service after 5 days of frequent emails from my part.

The service I have subscribed was for Rs 650 monthly...with 1GB limit. I used it till November  25th. On that day it got disconnected. I called them up once again. They said I have reached CREDIT LIMIT.I called them and asked what is this credit limit.

They said credit limit is something that

"  Your Credit Limit shall be revised on the basis of your usage & bill payments patterns along with the information provided by you in the Customer Application form and /or any deposits made by you."

So I asked them how much have I surfed they said I have surfed for 620MB and my bill is 607rs. I asked them I need 1 GB a month what should I do for that, how can I increase the credit limit? They said I can increase it only as months pass by or else I need to make a Rs 2500 as security deposit to surf 1GB. I have already given Rs 1000 as security deposit and Rs 2850 for the modem.

So what do you think? This is why this is one of the stupidest private services ever u will get. I think Tata indicomm will be more good.

About the Credit limit, I don’t knw. They said abt credit limit and explained it to me too...But still I don’t know what is it.

go for this connection. Earlier I have subscribed for freedom plan

which has monthly charges of Rs 650. But when the bill reaches your

doorstep...it comes around Rs 730 monthly after tax and data usage

charges. Then I migrated to swift 40 PLAN....Horrible...At times the

connection gets connected and the time goes on and I never get the

connection. Even though the modem has a speed of 144kbps, the browsinG

or download speed you can get is 2 KB/s. This is the speed while I was

using it in Trivandrum and in Mangalore. The service is really

horrible. When I switched it to swift 40 plan the bill came around

471.35rs. It included 400rs monthly charges with data usage charges

19.50 and tax 51.85rs.
