So here is one mobile service provider, which leaves you gasping for all the wrong reasons. Sometimes I wonder, is it really possible to find a positive about this service? There are probably a million unsatisfied and irate customers out there, but the concerned people at Reliance seem immune to all the hue and cry - it's as if they expected this all along.

Anyway let's check out the 10 major reasons - why you should avoid using Reliance's service, mobile or FWP hardly makes a difference. So get ready for the ride, here we go:

1) They don't know what they are offering you. Period. You can probably get 100 different versions of a scheme on offer by Reliance's own personnel. That will leave you wondering about which version to believe.

2) Try going to a Reliance Webworld, the huge queues will make you wonder; if they are offering their services for free. However, rest assured most of the customers are there to register their complaints. Try talking to an executive and you will get a stare that says 'Get Lost'.

3) You have to stop worrying about the bill - as you are never going to get them delivered to your billing address. You might complain as much as you like, but you can only get bills once every 6 months or so.

4) Bill or no Bill, as a Reliance Customer it's you duty that you find out your billed amount and go to the nearest Webworld and make the payments - if you don't want your services barred. Any protests like always are immaterial.

5) Don't you dare talk to the Customer Care department, Reliance's executives are as hopeless as it can get. They will keep you going around in circles, till you are ready to slam down the phone on their face.

6) Try upgrading your phone from a B/W to Color Handset, suddenly there will be a serious shortage of all color handsets; even though you can see new customers getting the color phone.

7) All schemes all offer by Reliance Infocomm are misleading and include dollops of hidden charges for flavor. You simply can't take the schemes at face value, there always will be fine print - and 'fine print' is above a customer's satisfaction.

8) You need to be a Rocket Scientist in order to decipher the bills generated by Reliance (when you do get them) Try as much as you can and still it's humanly not possible to understand the bills. Pay it! Forget it!

9) Reliance will not respond to any written communication - holds true for the complete management brass. I have tried writing to everyone, including Mr. Ambani(through an interface on their website) have been promised response in 24 hours, but in this case 24 Hrs is more then 6 months.

10) The service sucks! Even by availing STD services after paying deposits, your service will be barred as soon as you cross a certain limit - even if your deposit is larger then the limit and even if your past payment record has been immaculate. So if you are a volume user, be ready for service outages and get penalised for generating more revenues for Reliance.

I am sure Reliance has it's own positives compared to other services - probably other service providers are also indifferent. However, I am certain that Reliance has refined unresponsiveness, using unethical and unfair means into an art form.

It's also possible that the service per se (i love using the word....) is not as bad as the ethics and means employed by Reliance; but that hardly matters to a customer - as using any service does involve interaction with the company and communication with the 'Customer Care' department.
