Reliance: Customer care or harassment!

I have been forced to write this review due to the pathetic service provided by reliance services.


I took a Reliance India WLL landline connection with great expectations. The scheme looked quite good and I was tempted as it also included internet services apart from local and STD services. Things went quite well for some time (about a month) and then it happened....The STD facility was disconnected from my phone without any notification what so ever. When I called up the customer care to inquire why it was done without even informing me once, they coolly replied that it was done due to over usage, and told me to pay Rs. 5000 at Webworld to get it restored.


Ideally, first the bill has to be delivered to the customer and nonpayment results in disconnection. But, I didn?t receive the bill before they disconnected my STD service. The bill came much later. However, till then things were not so bad and I went to the Webworld at Gurgaon and deposited Rs 6000. I was told that the server was down hence I could not get the trouble ticket number. Anyways, they asked me to leave the photocopy and promised to restore the STD service in 3 hours.


After two days nothing happened. I called the customer care reliance at *366, the guy seem to be completely indifferent about the problem and asked me get the trouble ticket number from the Webworld. I tried calling Webworld, but could not get through, the number was either busy or nobody responded. I kept on trying the number but in vain. I would also like to add that I cannot take out time every now and then to visit Webworld due to my busy schedule.


Again feeling helpless, I called up customer care only to hear that they can?t help me even after payment of the bill. I requested them to contact Webworld and solve the problem but my words fell on deaf ears. To me it seemed that these guys do not have their processes in place. Also the customer care executives are not experienced enough and do not work towards solving customer complaints.


Lastly, after these two months of harassment, I bowed down and again went to the Webworld to get the services restored. But to my disbelief the servers were down again and the people at Webworld were impolite not only with me but also with other customers. Thus, I was back to square one.


Finally, I have decided to dump reliance phone now. All the hype about the Reliance services in the commercials looks good on the face of it but I have to say if they don't know enough to take care of their customers they will have to face the music sooner or later.
