MUTHI MEIN SE PHISAL RAHI HAI DUNIA Well thats how I Rate Reliance Mobile overall, So they came up with Monsoon Hungama, in which u can get mobile with Rs. 501..... Ok Lets look at every aspect of this Mobile Service....
Pluses ++
1) It has a cheap Starting Price, I mean u get Instrument Plus a Mobile Subscription in Rs.501 Thats good....
2) For City usage it is ok...
3) In case u cant afford a GSM Handset, then going for Reliance remains a best option.
4) You have good Digital Mobiles to choose from like Simple LG, SAMSUNG or Colored Screen ones..
5) Overall the service has Relaince Name Attached to it so its bound to be a Quality Service Right.......
6) Tarrif Plans like ---- 50 paise - Reliance to Reliance, Rs.1/- to Landline (BSNL), Rs. 2.40/- (Touchtel Landline)..., Rs.1.99/- per 3 mins to any GSM, Rs.1/- per 3 mins to any WLL service. Rs.1 for Every SMS.
7) GOOD Free Talk Time - I dunno exactly but they are offering some Free Talktime Schemes OK SO IT SEEMS TO BE NICE BUNCH OF GOODIES ON OFFER TO START WITH........
BUT EVERY COIN HAS TO FACES....
Negatives --
1) RELIANCE SOLELY BASED ON CDMA (CODE DIVISION MULTIPLE ACCESS) I am not to sure about the full form Pls if ne one knows pls comment ok..... OR WLL (WIRELESS IN LOCAL LOOP)- It simply means the service on offer is based in the Local City Loop & By CDMA we mean is on the same Exchange of a Telephone Network they offer Multiple Subcriber Lines....... So it is Good for Data Transfer & All other Things but for Voice & Other Services it is a Wastage......
Reliance is wasting the Fiber Optic Network, They cud have used this to Provide FAster Broad Band services & could have recieved heavy 5 star ratings from me.
2) U CAN MAKE LOCAL CALLS EASILY .I mean in a GSM Network all the Cities in one Particular Network are Billed as Local Call.... BUT IN Reliance Service its not the case u will have to pay the TRUNK charges (Although Low) ..... thus making it a bit expensive....
3) GSM NETWORK ENABLED SMS has a Far more reach then any Reliance Mobile.. U can Send SMS to any part of the World but not with Reliance.....
4) NO COMPREHENSIVE ROAMING - Yes Reliance Network Fails down as soon as u are on the Outskirts of the City........ Do u expect it to remain with you througout
5) FRANKLY THERE are Hidden Costs on this ..... They will Take 501/- only now , then at the end of month u will Receive a Bill of Rs.510/- as a Minimum bill for the Period of atleast 1 yr.. On Top of the that Talk time Charges coz u hardly have ne Free Talk time in this Scheme & SERVICE TAX....
6) Guys the handset u have got is a Pure Business Tactic applied by Reliance .. Commission from LG & Samsung ( I DONT MIND THAT) , BUT if u disconnect ur phone The Same will Be Useless for you.. Atleast in GSM u can use same handset with the change of the SIM.
7) RELIANCE DELIVERS PRE-INSURED HANDSETS TO U, SO UNTILL U PAY THE FULL PRICE OF THE HANDSET, THEY ARE SAFE ABT THE PRICE OF IT FROM THE INSURANCE CO., iN CASE U DICONTINUE USAGE THEN. Reliance will simply ask the Insurance Co pay for the same.. Same handset even if u have bought it will be useless for you.....
Overall Rating : B (Quality Handsets); A+ (Reliance Brand Name) ; C (Network Reach); D (Hidden Costs & Monthly Bill) ; E (I Felt Cheated when I couldnt use the Handset ne more after Disconnection nor could sell it. SO ITS C- OVERALL....
NOW I DONT USE RELIANCE MOBILE BY THE WAY........
REMEMBER 10 MILLION + GSM SUBCRIBERS CANT BE IGNORED.............
RELIANCE CAN GET MONOPOLISTIC WITH THIS ATLEAST TILL INDICOM GETS IN FULL STEAM. WHEREAS GSM PEOPLE ARE SAFE IN 4 WAY GSM BATTLE...........
DESPITE ALL THIS TECHNOLOGY IS OK! & FOR CITY USE IT IS GOOD, BUT OTHER FACTORS ALSO ARE PROMINENT.
