I stay in Gurgaon and have been using Reliance broadband for last 3 months and I should beware everyone who is thinking about getting reliance broadband installed.
There connection don’t support wireless routers and access points. (I have tried Belkin, netgear and Linksys) – The guy who installed this also confirmed it over phone. Every time you ask them they will ask you to contact the router provider.
The connection keeps disconnecting in every few minutes and you have to connect again. I found a workaround by using a script that login to the portal every 1 minutes to make sure I don’t have to connect manually. But the question is “why it keeps disconnecting?”
You have to connect the Ethernet cable provided by reliance directly to your laptop or desktop and browse a url and login using the credential provided. It is not a PPPOE connection so your router won’t work. (no modem required/provided)
Online portal to view and pay bills never works.
Worst customer service. They will always reply using some templates they have and don’t give a SH*t about that customer is trying to say.
I have tried all the possible workarounds and there is no solution to make it wireless.
Looking for a better service provider…..
