I purchased the above mentioned article from RED Tape Outlet in Lifestyle store MG Road MG Road Gurgaon. Price paid: 3795 without any discount.
I am highly dissatisfied with the quality of boots I received and the support from this company.It would be better to say I was Conned by RED TAPE.
I needed the shoes urgently as I was going on trip next weekend so I purchased those. I visited a hill station and we took a normal was as some one does for about 10 kms.I checked the quality of shoes it was pathetic and as attached in the picture they looked way too dirty, misshaped and torn out.
Upon checking the box that came with the purchase it listed the manufacturing date of June 2014, I was sold a product which was over an year old.The purchase was made on 20th Dec 2015 and I was informed about a 3 months warranty on the product, so I connected with Lifestyle store they suggested to connect with RED TAPE so I did, apparently no one answers any phone numbers given as support. Literally no one! which pissed me off.
After that I emailed these guys and they asked to provide some details which I did, I was expecting this to resolved ASAP which they never did.
This email conversation started on January 15 2016 just about a month since the date of purchase and on feb 10 they finally suggested me to connected with REDTAPE Store manager at MGF METROPOLITIAN MG ROAD Gurgaon.
So after a few days I went to store and explained the complained situation and the conversation happened:
Store Manager: "What is wrong with the shoes", reacting shockingly.
ME: "Just check the quality of these shoes, they're not what they should look like and I either want them replaced or repaired".
SM: "What?replaced? Why what's wrong with these. These are boots sir and you don't know how they work, they look like this only"
ME: "One of my friends also has the same pair and mine looks older than his"
SM: "It isn't my problem, may be you can use a shoe cream to polish them and they'll glow"
Me: "I thought this is defect".
And it continued and all the other staff also came on me to convince there wasn't no problem. So I decided to leave and report it to support team.I wrote them 2 emails and to my surprise no one replied back till the product was under warranty i.e. feb 20 and I was also informed by Store Manager at RED TAPE there isn't a warranty.SO the issues to be noted here:
1> Making fool of customer with false claims and promises.
2> Pathetic Customer Support, I mean if there is another word use it.
3>Dead email support, It looked like I was messaging a Bot.
4>Rude STORE MANAGERS And STAFF.If any of the people from REDTAPE is reading this, My suggestion:
*STOP Conning Customers, Improve your support and I would NEVER EVER RECOMMEND SOMEONE TO PURCHASE A RED TAPE.
NEVER.*
