Ready funny but not a masterpiece. Review on Ready (2011)

The films by defination are meant to entertain and their basic  objective is not to present a true picture or show reality but just to free people from their daily grind and problems and hence by that  defination ready is a true blooded entertainer with a entertaining but weak script, frentic screenplay, decent direction, excellent  music with dhink chinka and character dheela being standouts and to top it with a good pace which does not bore you but it certainly needed a quality check since many dialogues were too crude and vulgar which needed to be avoided while allegedly making a family film so in short a film can be enjoyed but with low expectations

plot

the film basic plot is of kapoor family which consist of ram(mahesh manjrekar), laxman(manoj pahwa) and bharat(manoj joshi)  who live happily and harmonously bur who are desperate to wed off their only young  member  prem(salman khan) so  after consulting their guru they decide upon a girl pooja as their daughter in law and so send prem to pick her up from the airport but in a twist sanjana(asin) who is escaping from her mamas(sharat saxena, akhilendra mishra) as they want to marry her off to mafia don impersonates as pooja and soon enters kapoor house and  also falls in  love with prem wins their trust and even when she is exposed and tracked down by her mama  they decide upon a plan to get her back and with this plan  prem gets sanjan back by tricking  bhaadwaj(paresh rawal)  and what follows is the crux of the story so go watch this to have a good time but dont expect a masterpiece

prem-salman khan essays this part casually and does ok as prem

sanjana-asin is good as sanjana but sometimes acts like her character in ghajini

mahesh majrekar is good as prems father

paresh rawal  and manoj joshi are the stars of the show and are brilliant

akhilendra mishra and sharat saxena are good

arya babar is  wasted while niketan dheer has no expressions

conclusion

ready is better than dabang but not a masterpiece
