"Mouthshut has become a dumpyard with Junks" :SAD:. Review on Reading Reviews on MouthShut

I have been a member with Mouthshut for over 3 years now and been reading reviews here since 2011 I guess(without registering here).  I have made many crucial buying decisions like Cameras, Phones and even Cars by reading Reviews from here.  And Those days all the Reviews were awesome, written by most Experienced members, writing their stuff here from their "Heart".

But now, its all Changed.  Those old good members are all long gone/history and now Mouthshut is filled with "Full of new Junks" writing Useless Stuff Just for the Sake of Money!

So here I classify the various types of Reviews I read here -

1) The Real Genuine Reviews -

These were there since the Existence of Mouthshut until this new Contest "Write Share Win" started few months ago.  These Reviews are written by most Experienced and Vintage Writers and most of them being aged between 35 and 55. I love Reading their Reviews to the Fullest because they and their reviews have Stuff and they write Reviews from "Their own Experience".

Most of these Reviews have Excellent English, Stuff mixed with Slokas and Quotes, a Lots of humor and Helpful details.  These reviews are usually big and fully explained.

2) Short reviews but With stuff -

These reviews are usually written by random members out here(both old or new) who actually have understood the real guidelines of Mouthshut on how to "Write Reviews".  These reviews are usually Short lasting about 3 to 4 paras max but have very good Language and have precise Stuff/info about the Product.  These Reviews explain the pros, cons, details, tips and so on in a very brief manner.

The writer also uses Presentation Techniques like Bold, italics, Underline When ever and where ever necessary. Reading such reviews are always good and fun and gives readers good information.

3) Junk Reviews -

Predominantly written by the many new members here, who most of them have just joined mouthshut just because of the latest Contest "Write share win".

These reviews mostly have no Content at all or would have the stuff concentrated on just one "Characteristic/properties".

For example - they write the review of Flipkart with just 4 to 5 lines explaining as "it was good shopping experience, fast Shipping but worst Customer Support". And most of these reviews won't have any "personal Experience" at all.

I really hate to read such reviews.  And I probably never Rate them at all.

These junks reviews are also the reason why many old best Members have left Mouthshut for good.  And sadly these new writers don't even know how to rate the Reviews.

4) Complaint reviews -

Well between those best Writers and junk reviewers, many new members join Mouthshut just for the sake of writing their one and only bad experience.   Hence they end up here writing just their negative review they experienced with the product.  Well they basically don't understand what a review means and hence just write the complaint, in a hope that their issue is resolved!

These Reviews though are good to Read but are never that useful.

5) Fake Reviews -

There are three types of Fake Reviews out here -

a) Type 1 - These reviews are usually told to bewritten by the Employees or the org or the Owner of the product.  And hence the member here criticize the product saying that "The review is written by the employee of the org and thus they are rating their products Very useful for Advertising their Product & Org".

But with most of the Case it is never proved that the Particular review is a fake one.  Because a Common member can never know about an another member without deep investigation.  And most of these Criticizers are New members who have had bad Experience with the Org and their products(refer Complaint Reviews).

b) Type 2 - The "Copy-Paste" reviews, also known as Plagiarized Reviews.   For the Sake of earning quick Money with "write Share win", some reviewers copy and paste the stuff form other previously written Reviews and post it as their own review.

Recently this has also been followed with "comments", with new members copy pasting Same Comment 2 or 3 times just for earning Rs.1.!

c) Type 3 - Copy pasting from other Sources. Especially from other WebsITES_Company.

These Reviews are mostly never read by many and are reported by some of the true Mouthshutters and hence these reviews are mostly Removed from Mouthshut. Not only this many of new Members here Rate and comment the Reviews even without reading the Review properly and they rate it, again, just for the sake of money!

For an example, I recently come across many new Members here who rate the Review "Not useful" but comment as "Nice Review. Very helpful. Thanks"!  This shows how involved they really are!

VERDICT -

Overall, I lost my interest with reading most of the reviews out here. Reviews here on mouthshut has become money minded and not the Experienced filled.   And not only the Reviews but also the Ratings and Comments which too are not from the heart and are just for money.!

Infact the New Contest "Write share Win" have almost Filled mouthshut with Lots of Junk content making this Site a new Dump Yard.   Really disappointing.!

My Request to @mouthshut - When ever a new Member is joined with this Website, they should be given full Education about guidelines of using mouthshut through private mails and even M2Ms.
