As a kid I always flipped the pages of an RD and kept it aside. I used to wonder at my elders for spending hours and hours together on such a small boring magazine. To me then, Gokulam and Tinkle were my favorite books in my holidays. Today when I think of the years that I spend not reading RD I really feel bad. Today we end up with a fight when everyone is at home and everyone wants an RD for themselves.

The varied articles and true life incidents published in each RD are simply superb. The cover story is usually a real life anecdote and a lengthy one but worth a read.

When I got my first job, I really dint know what to give my best friend as a thank you gift for helping me in getting the job. I thought and thought for about a week and finally ended up with gifting her a subscription of one years supply of RD at her door step. She was over whelmed with my sweet gesture. I was more happy because I could contribute to her boring days by making them useful ones atleast.
