I'm currently on a package trip to tirupathi .Boarded last night and look below in the experience so far!
1) We booked a 9pm bus and it eventually landed at 10:15 pm. We understand they conveniently canceled the 9pm as they didn't have sufficient bookings .Fair enough buy should have informed us.
2) we were given 500ml packaged drinking water and many bottles were leaking . the bottle holder in front of all the seats were loose as a result many people kept it either besides them on the seat or below. Next what happens - there is water all over the floor
3) my personal experience starts now - my blanket was wet as part of their cleaning process or whatever reasons and they didn't have a spare one. I literally had a freezing experience in the very powerful A/c and hardly slept a wink throughout the journey.
3) we reached tirupati at 3 am and we were promised 1 hour in a comfortable hotel room to freshen up followed by breakfast . we were screamed at and pushed into a dingy room and were given 30 minutes to freshen up( 3 of us& 1 bathroom). The biggest shock follows! Their comfortable hotel room didn't have towels and we didn't carry any . They refused to give us and I even offered to pay and the guide who doubled up as a ruffian yelled at me saying that this is not a lodge .yes, he is right! This was worse than that .
4) 3:30am - 30-40 tired looking faces trying to have their breakfast . Yes, food was decent . Nothing to complain nor something to write home about . first decent experience since 9 pm last night .
4:00am - we were told that they will try to get us the sheegra darshan ticket( we had already paid for it and it was committed) .else we will have to go in for the free darshan .the saga continues .
Will give you guys an update! Please don't go by the cooked up reviews with all those great star ratings you see .
